The Woodturner’s Wares is a home-based business located in the Niagara region of Southern Ontario.
Following a 30 year career as a Horticulturalist and Arborist, Jim Pook took up wood turning as a hobby. Given his passion for native tree preservation, Jim focuses on locally sourced dead or fallen trees (typically from our property and wood lot) to create useful, fun, and stylish one-of-a-kind wood turned items. Because Jim enjoys wood turning so much, he and his wife Christine recently started The Woodturner’s Wares. Christine, also retired, brings her business management and fashion design knowledge and skills to this new venture. The Woodturner’s Wares sells items through local handmade markets, strategic business alliances and social media channels. Our work can also be viewed in person by appointment only.
